Treatment

Aftercare and follow-up

You will receive clear individual instructions after the treatment. A follow-up may be scheduled to assess healing, symmetry and the final result once the initial swelling has subsided.

A change in circumference can be seen immediately after the treatment, but the initial appearance is also affected by swelling. The final result therefore cannot be assessed immediately.

During the healing period, the filler integrates into the tissue and the swelling gradually decreases. The result varies depending on anatomy, amount of product, treatment method, and the body’s individual breakdown of hyaluronic acid.

The result is temporary. How long it remains cannot be guaranteed and varies between different individuals. Some may later wish for a complementary treatment or an individual maintenance plan.

The experience is individual. Local anesthesia is used to make the treatment as comfortable as possible. Pressure, tension and some discomfort may occur during or after the treatment.

Sensitivity, swelling and temporary bruising are common during the first period.

After the treatment, the area may be swollen, tender and uneven before the filler has stabilized. Temporary bruising or a feeling of tension may occur.

You will receive individual instructions, which may include:

* whether and how the product should be massaged or shaped
* how long sexual activity and masturbation should be avoided

Since the treatment is performed with a hyaluronic acid-based filler, the product can in some situations be treated with the enzyme hyaluronidase. This may become relevant in cases such as complications, incorrect placement or a result that needs to be corrected.

Dissolution is a medical treatment that is preceded by an individual assessment. It is not always possible to predict exactly how much product will be dissolved or how the tissue will look afterward.
